What if the ‘right path’ is only an intimidating term developed to deter you from choosing a path.

All paths lead to the same point

Let’s consider that there is no such thing as the wrong path or the right path. We can take infinite path variations that will all lead us to the same end. Therefore, regardless of how much we ponder the possibilities, or how much we weigh the pros and cons of the endless choices that we have, in the end, we will all be where we need to be, when we need to be, and how we need to be.

Any decision is better than none

Don’t misinterpret me, I am not a person who believes in destiny or that our entire lives are predetermined. I do believe our actions play a significant role in our lives and that everything does not happen for a reason. However, when we are faced with too many options our fear of making the wrong move can result in overwhelming procrastination. I have lived my life worried to make the wrong choice and sometimes it holds me back. I end up not making any decision or taking any action. The problem with this is that by not deciding I am not progressing and progression is good.

Your past decisions were not a mistake

One day in your future you may look back on your past with regret, you may think that you wish you could go back in time and do something differently. What if you go back in time and you change your decisions and you end up exactly in the same place in the end. Whether the decisions you wish you could change were very small or very big, you should trust that your past self used all the knowledge, information, and experience that you had at that time to do what made sense to you (or what you wanted to do). You didn’t make a mistake and you shouldn’t regret your past decisions. Without all those decisions and paths that you took, you wouldn’t be who you are now. You wouldn’t be the wonderful, incredible, amazing you with a great story to share.

As long as you are making a decision, you will always be making the right decision. Therefore, the only ‘wrong’ path that you can take is…standing still.
